TOKYO, Japan, October 1, 2025 – Alphas Inc. has been qualified by the FinOps Foundation as a FinOps Certified Training Provider.

FinOps is an operational framework and cultural practice which maximizes the business value of cloud and technology, enables timely data-driven decision making, and creates financial accountability through collaboration between engineering, finance, and business teams. As more companies are adopting public cloud and technology there is a growing need for managing the related spend to maximize the value of investments. 

The FinOps Foundation, a program under the Linux Foundation, is a non-profit organization with a community of over 25,000 companies and more than 85,000 individual FinOps practitioners. Alphaus joined the FinOps Foundation in May 2024, and also participated as a founding member in the FinOps Foundation Japan Chapter established in November.

A FinOps Certified Training Provider is a FinOps Foundation member organization that has been certified as having the capability to offer and provide the official training course required to obtain the FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) certification. Alphaus has two in-house FinOps Certified Training Instructors who meet the specified requirements to serve as instructors for the FOCP training course (as of September 2025).

Alphaus boasts numerous certified professionals, including three FinOps Certified Professionals and 33 FinOps Certified Practitioners certified by the FinOps Foundation. Alphaus has been providing Ripple, a SaaS for the cloud infrastructure cost management to major Japanese and international cloud resellers since 2018. Alphaus now manages over 5% of AWS's sales revenue in Japan, making it a top leader in cloud infrastructure cost management in Japan.
